Flower Arranging Group

Due to holidays and other commitments there will be no M3A Flower Arranging meeting on 25th April or 30th May. In view of this our next meeting is planned for Monday 2nd May and will take place at Barbara’s house in Lombada, Ponta do Sol.

Start time is 10 for 10.30am and tea/coffee will be available on arrival.

The next meeting will be on Monday 29th February in the Trinity Rooms of The English Church in Rua de Quebra Costas, Funchal.

The theme for this month is ‘A Taste of the Orient’. The session will begin with an introduction by Barbara and a demonstration of arrangements using some aspects of traditional Ikebana. This will be followed by a workshop for everyone with assistance if required.

The session will begin with an introductory demonstration by Carolyn using driftwood as a base for a simple, spring arrangement. This will be followed by a workshop for everyone with assistance if required.

The theme for this month is ‘Welcome to Christmas’ and the session will begin with an introductory demonstration by Barbara followed by a workshop for everyone. The demonstration will show how a Christmas wreath might be decorated for different purposes such as hanging on a door, used as a table centre or suspended horizontally.
